I’m sure most of my readers don’t care who the skater was in my post from yesterday. But I’m certain there’s at least one person who can’t stand when a test question is given and they don’t know the answer!
So here it is:
The photo is of Ekaterina Gordeeva skating for the first time after her husband and skating partner, Sergei Grinkov, died suddenly. She’s skating to Mahler No. 5. It’s absolutely THE most heart-wrenching and emotional performance I’ve ever seen, skating, dancing or otherwise, which is why I used it to make my point about being pulled in by a story.
