Farewell, my friends

Dear blogging friends…

I have very much enjoyed KathanInk for these last 18 months. But it’s time for me to move on.

I started KathanInk originally to give myself a platform for writing, to share my thoughts about life. Mainly, to give myself the public courage to say what I was sometimes too afraid to share with others. I have grown a great deal in this last couple years, and I want to thank you all for that.

If you blog, you know that blogging is a commitment. You have to keep up on with your own blog – as well as others. It’s just part of the social world of blogging.

But it’s time for me to pursue other things. Starting with 2011, I have decided to redirect my writing pursuits toward my professional writing, and also toward someday becoming published. Both of these things have been taking more of my time, and I just don’t have the hours in the day to maintain my own blog and read others. I will try, however, to keep up with those of you whose blogs I have come to enjoy reading over the last year.

It’s been a joy to get to know you and to share myself with you.

Au revoir, mes amis!

You know that I support your decision 100% + 10% more. Our blogs have been a place for us to express ourselves, test the waters, and find out where writing fits into our lives. The growth process has yeilded understanding that reached much deeper than I ever expected. It takes a courageous person to say, “this is who I am.” You are a strong woman.

I’m excited for both of us as we set out on this new journey! Best wishes.

Well, you know where to find me, and vice versa. Certainly I am standing on the sidelines cheering you on as you. keep. on. writing. and head toward your goal.

Nah — not always on the sidelines. Sometimes I’ll be out there in the middle of the middle of the race with you yelling ‘let’s go, girlfriend!’

Kathan – I too will miss your writing and encouragement, but understand how committed you are to your writing goals and how much time it takes to keep up with the blog. I will celebrate my one year blogaversary in January and plan to continue with it for the forseeable future. I wish you the best of luck in the new year and the happiest of holidays! Take care!

Good for you! I’ll miss you but I understand where you’re coming from. Blogging does take a lot of time. With your goals, I don’t blame you for letting go and moving on. You can always start your blog up again if you want to.

Merry Christmas and may 2011 bring you the best of everything.

Thanks, Shaddy – you’ll be one person I will miss out here in blog-land! Best to you in 2011 and have a terrific Christmas. 🙂

      Love & Words,
