Friday flash #37

Leaning over to change the station, she felt a pinch on her neck. Actually, more like a burn. Then another. She brushed her neck and felt the burn move to her hand.

She howled and made up at least five new swear words. Trying not to swerve off the highway, she made a rolling stop on the shoulder. Looking down, she saw the bee on her leg, curled in its own pain. She flicked it onto the floor in fury and stomped.

It didn’t make her hand feel better.

At least she wasn’t on a motorcycle! Bees, so much pain in a tiny little package.

Short but packed with panic and pain, both potent and powerfully put.

This is a good one. Most people might have wrecked the car. 🙂
