Go USA Soccer!

I consider myself to be a semi-fan of soccer (I grew up in a ‘soccer family,’ so at least I can say I understand it). Of course, now that the USA Men’s Team is doing so well in the World Cup…well, who isn’t a fan?!

One of the things that always cracked me up is the faking of injuries. Seriously, even the kids in park district programs do it…So here’s a hilarious commercial (several years old) in honor of the Men’s US Soccer Team, who won their group yesterday in the World Cup, and advance to the next round. Go USA!!

OMG! That is so funny. I can’t believe it is actually true. I’ll be looking at those trips and falls a little more carefully from now on wondering how many of them are real and how many are staged.

Oh, like 90% of them have to be staged. What’s hilarious is when they fall on the ground holding their leg in agony and as soon as the ref calls a foul, they jump up like nothing happened at all!

    Too funny, my friend.

As good as the players are at faking injuries, I can believe that they devote practice time to perfecting the art.
