Boredom 55

The sun looks bright and warm, but a blast of bitter air blows in through a hole in the sash. The Weatherbug® on my laptop reads ten degrees.

No walking the dog today, I sigh and the long arm on the clock clicks to 2:09 p.m. I roll my chair backward, lift my legs onto the stool and stare at a brown stain on the ceiling.

A friend of our just sent pictures of NJ and all they snow up there. I just don’t know how you do it. Dealing with so much cold and being stuck inside or freeze. I guess it is a good thing you are a writer! Can you imagine being a garbage man, police officer, or a pan handler and having no real escape from the cold all day long. Burrrrrrrrr… I can’t imagine.

Very cute Flash 55. My hubs laughed at you staring at the spot on the ceiling.

Well, the snow melted during a “warm spell” of 40 degrees we had a few weeks back with a ton of rain. So now it’s just gray and brown and bleh. At least when it snows it’s pretty. I don’t mind the cold then…

BTW, there’s not really a brown spot on the ceiling! LOL

How do you keep that big dog happy without a walk? He must dislike the cold too.

You capture boredom so well here. I’d say to bring the dog here so you could walk with Polly and me, but it’s cold here too. (Not THAT cold, but us southerners are wimps.)

Some days are just like that! Might as well get a cup of tea and pick up the book you started.
