Since I’ve been talking about and posting about our friends’ loss of their newborn daughter, I thought I’d share her blog, which is tribute to this little sweet one’s life. The video was created by her mother and played at the service on Friday.

I read this yesterday and visited the site but didn’t have it in me to comment.
I admire your friends for the way they have persevered through this. I hope they can continue when things settle, and all the mourners are gone, and the house is quiet again.
I wish them all the strength they need to get through it.

I’m sitting here with tears running down my face at the bravery this young one so courageously mustered to live those 39 hours. This tribute will live forever in the heart of those who know the family and those of us who were just introduced.

This is so unspeakably, unfathomably sad…. Please share with your friends how many people they don’t even know are holding them in their hearts right now and trying to pass strength, courage, love and grit their way.

What a beautiful child! Words fail when such sadness and loss occurs.
Lydia was here a short time and now dwells with God and will be surrounded by His angels forever and ever.

That was so joyful and heartbreaking to watch, but I’m happy you shared the link and allowed this little girls memory to live on inside us all. The gift of physical life is precious and sometimes short. But spiritual life is the true treasure and that faith offers up unbelievable strength during these times of loss.
